To operate at maximum performance, your debarker must have tight, sharp and correctly designed knife tips. The Nicholson Debarker Knife Tip Exchange Program (available in US & Canada only) makes it easy to keep your knife tips in top condition using genuine NICHOLSON knife tips.

Our program lets you trade in your worn Nicholson knife tips for new or factory refurbished knife tips. Nicholson square tips are not generally rebuildable.

Just send us your old tips and we will do the rest. You can request any mix of knife angles to suit your production needs. New fasteners are provided to insure the very best seating and torquing for your tips.

When you first start the program, we send you a boxed set of 24 new Nicholson knife tips in your choice of angles. When you return the box of 24 used knives, any rebuildable knives are immediately replaced with new or in-stock rebuilt Nicholson tips and new fastener kits.

Those knives that can’t be rebuilt are replaced with new Nicholson knife tips and fastener kits. You can change the mix of knife angles at any time. This lets you adjust to changing conditions related to seasonal and production factors, or different furnish.

The turnaround time for tips is 10 working days. Many customers keep two boxes of knives in the system. This lets them use one set while the other is in transit. This is an excellent technique to make sure that you always have new knife tips available for your debarker.

A sturdy wood shipping box is supplied by Nicholson to make transporting the tips and fasteners easy. The box is the property of Nicholson. Freight costs to and from our manufacturing facility are the responsibility of the customer.

Using our tip exchange program frees your staff from the time consuming task of rebuilding tips. The Nicholson Debarker Knife Tip Exchange Program is a convenient and economical way to keep your debarker operating at its maximum production potential around the clock.
