Special Nicholson Ring Features All Nicholson Debarking Rings use rugged and easy to replace pivot shaft cartridges. Oversized pivot shafts and preloaded tapered roller bearings are used for maximum reliability.
	Special bark shears are provided on all Nicholson rings to keep the pivot shafts and knife arms free from bark buildup. All Nicholson rings have a stationary inner barrel to keep bark from building up in the barrel due to centrifugal force.
	Air Seal Rings and Feedworks Gears are lubricated with the New Nicholson Fail-Safe Lube Pump. The pump delivers a precise metered amount of lubricant to the ring and airseal. The ring automatically shuts down if lubrication is interrupted. The pump can be mounted on a standard 55-gallon barrel or on a special Nicholson reservoir.
