A6 Roll Feed Debarkers Nicholson A6 sliding ring Debarkers can be supplied with a roll type feedworks instead of the standard chain feedworks.  Holddown rolls are still provided, but the log is fed into the ring resting on two infeed and two outfeed rolls.  Power is sent to the rolls by a roller chain and sprocket drive on the side of the debarker. The rollfeed option provides lower maintenance costs, a quieter debarker and better bark escapement for stringy bark species like Redwood, Cedar and Eucalypt than the chain feed versions. The rollfeed design eliminates replacement of the chain and wear surfaces. The feed rolls can be easily refurbished and can be supplied with our patented Fiberguard Feedrolls. Both chain feed and roll feed A6 Debarkers come with a hydraulic power unit designed specifically for that size and type of A6.
