Nicholson Debarker Rings Nicholson Debarking rings are available in a wide range of sizes and types. Rings from 12 to 44 inches (305 to 1118 mm) are available in six different sizes. Each ring is designed to cover a specific log diameter range. Special rings for stringy bark species and to reduce flared log butts are also available. Nicholson rings are noted for their long life and clean debarking. Hardwoods, softwoods, frozen wood and burnt wood can all be processed successfully with Nicholson rings. All Nicholson rings are mounted in removable ring modules and driven by a simple and long lasting belt drive. Our rings are simple to maintain and can be rebuilt on-site by mill staff. Factory trained technicians are also available to guide you if needed.
