Special Add-on Debarking Modules and Ring Changers Nicholson A5 and A8 series debarkers can be fitted with stand-alone pre or post-processing modules. Standard rings or special rings like the Patented Stringy Bark Slitter Ring and the Flared Butt Reducer Ring can be used in the modules.  Four roll modules without a ring can also be supplied. Another use of the modules is in providing a small diameter ring for an older large diameter A5 series debarker to process smaller furnish. These modules come with their own partial feedworks. The feedworks will be an infeed or outfeed depending on where the module is applied. The modules all have pullout rings for easy and safe maintenance. These are very versatile units that can be used to solve many unique problems. Another important device is the Nicholson Ring Changer. This allows you to use two different rings in a single ring debarker. You can use this for maintenance programs where you do not want to take the debarker off-line, or to use adifferent type or size of ring in the same debarker. The Ring Changer is powered so all you have to do is select the ring and the process proceeds automatically.
